FINAL FRAME P h oto g r a p h co u r t e s y o f T h e M a r q 'Tis the season While corporate holiday events may be on the decline nationally (see Connections, page 18), the New North is in a party mood. The Marq, shown catering an event off-site, books more holiday parties each year, cooking for groups of 15 to 500, depending on the company and event location, says Claire DuPont, sales and event coordinator at The Marq. "This year in particular we've seen an increase in the number of smaller corporate holiday luncheons held, versus the large nighttime party events," DuPont said in a statement. Large holiday parties are still filling up the evenings through January, "but this new luncheon trend has seemed to really take off this year." While dining options may vary, it seems everyone is looking for one particular holiday staple: Christmas cookies. Each season, The Marq makes about 300 dozen. – Nikki Kallio 50 | Insight • D e c e m b e r 2 012 w w w. i n s i g h t o n b u s i n e s s . c o m
