He is returning to St. Louis to spend more time with his family. Jack Pelton, who recently retired as chairman, president and CEO of Cessna Aircraft, has been elected chairman of the EAA board of directors. In his role as EAA Chair, Pelton will guide the organization through the leadership transition. The Oshkosh Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center has announced its management team. Daniel Schetter is general manager. He was general manager at the CopperLeaf Boutique Hotel & Spa in Appleton for the past seven years and was general manager of the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in Neenah before that. Joe Williamson is the corporate sales manager and has more than 30 years of hotel sales experience. In addition to his work at the new hotel, he will continue overseeing corporate sales at the CopperLeaf and the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Hotel in Neenah. Other appointments at the new hotel include David Helgeson as director of sales, Wendy Jansen as director of catering, David Krumplitsch as director of food and beverage, Foster Deadman as executive chef and Abby Theys as executive rooms manager. Brown County promoted Dean Haen to director of the Port and Solid Waste Department. He had been serving as interim department head for more than a year. Haen has been with Brown County for more than 20 years and served as the manager for the Port of Green Bay prior to becoming interim director. Brian Van de Water was 44 | Insight • D e c e m b e r 2 012 named general manager of Cherney Microbiological Services in Green Bay. Brian joins Cherney with 26 years of experience in areas such as operations, product development, engineering and LEAN methodology. Robyn Gruner, director of external affairs for AT&T, was named to the New North Executive Committee and Chair of the Green Bay Chamber Public Policy Council. U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble (R-Sherwood) received the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. Shopko Stores appointed chief operating officer Mike Bettiga to interim chief executive officer. He replaces Paul Jones, who left the company to pursue another opportunity. Bettiga began his career with Shopko as a pharmacist in 1977. He has held a number of positions during his tenure with the company and was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2009. Travis Nienhaus joined the care team at Next Step Rehabilitation in Manitowoc as a social worker. He is responsible for the ongoing assessment and direction of each patient's care plan in cooperation with nursing, therapy and dietary staff. Jacqui Corsi, director of marketing for the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, has met the requirements by the American Marketing Association to use the AMA Professional Certified Marketer designation (AMA PCM). The certification demonstrates that the holder has mastered core marketing knowledge and principles and is dedicated to staying current in the marketing field. Concordia University Wisconsin recently promoted Sarah Pecor to executive director of continuing and distance education. Somerville Inc. in Green Bay added Aaron Baumgartner as a senior drafter. He is a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he earned a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering. The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced several new members: Chuck Cloninger, president of Wisconsin Public Service Corp.; Michael J. Kirschling, an attorney with Stellpflug Law, S.C.; Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach; Brad Toll, CEO of the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau; and Dan Fabry, vice president and COO of Cellcom. Carrie Scheibe has joined the accounting department at Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Appleton. CC&N of Appleton has added Mike DeYoung as a sales engineer. He has more than 20 years of project management and design experience with technology systems. CMD Corporation in Appleton has added Donald Van Ryzin as a pipefitter/assembler class A; Dawn Kovacs as OPC coordinator; Derek Kepshire as manufacturing engineer; and Jessica Peterson as an engineering assistant. The company also promoted Mickey Schmitt to fabrication class A; Jamie Boylan to associate manufacturing engineer; Scott Dailey to subcontract MRO buyer; and Doug Main as technician III.
