FROM THE EDITOR Are you 'IN?' Insight launches VIP Memberships TherE's something about walking into a room filled with people that can evoke a feeling of anxiety – or excitement and opportunity. Naturally, the more familiar faces you see, the more common interests you have with those in the room and the more excitement you feel. And when the hosts are welcoming and go out of their way to introduce you to others and make you feel at ease, the more you enjoy the experience. This is how it is with Insight. Since we launched our first monthly magazine with a celebration almost five years ago, we have done whatever we could to live up to our Insight tagline, "Connecting Business and People in the New North." Mid-way into our journey as an independentlyowned and operated startup business, my copublisher, Brian Rasmussen, and I recognized that we were living up to this message in many ways that go beyond the printed page. We partnered with organizations that had a vacuum of needs to share their messages, such as the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and New North, Inc. We began coordinating business events with focused topics of interest. We formed alliances with other businesses where we found dynamic synergies. So we refined our mission statement. It reads: Insight Publications LLC connects people, communities, organizations and industries in creative, meaningful ways. Everything we take on must fit this mission. It's broad, yes – but it encompasses the many business units that fall under our corporate umbrella: magazines, Insight (monthly) and Insight on Manufacturing (now bi-monthly); events; custom publishing and partnerships. As our loyal readers know, we share information in print, in our digital publications, in our emailed newsletters and at our events. But many readers and clients may not be fully aware of all the avenues we offer for "connecting people … in creative, meaningful ways." To that end, we are launching a new corporate w w w. i n s i g h t o n b u s i n e s s . c o m website, the "front door," if you will, to the "rooms" (landing pages) representing each business unit we offer. Check it out: www.insightpublicationsllc.com. We hope this helps you better understand all the ways we accomplish our mission, and how we can help you, as fellow businesspeople, find the most value in how you can share your message through Insight. We believe we've built something that any forwardthinking businessperson in Northeast Wisconsin would want to be part of. An invitation to "gain Insight" Helping you feel connected to the people and information you need to move your business forward is something we at Insight take seriously.
