In May, Palmer Johnson launched its largest yacht
project ever: The 64-meter "Lady M," also known as Project Stimulus, shown here
in Sturgeon Bay. The yacht, which has a beam of about 31 feet, was carefully rolled
down First Avenue and launched at Bay Shipbuilding.
The Lady M is the first of Palmer Johnson's 210-foot Sport Yacht models, capable
of hosting 12 guests, according to superyachtnews.com. The yacht features an allaluminum hull and can reach speeds of 28 knots.
Last summer, a group of guests of the New North Investors' appreciation event
viewed an early, unfinished Lady M (exterior only, ensuring the particulars of
its interior design remained private) during a tour of Palmer Johnson hosted by
company president Mike Kelsey. Kelsey says about 150 workers helped build the firstof-its kind vessel for a private owner. The yacht, which includes several staterooms, a
swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, spent about two weeks in sea trials.
