Crystal Sturgis, a certified physician's assistant at ThedaCare Orthopedics Plus, recently received the Certificate of Added Qualifications in orthopaedic surgery from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is one of only 181 physician assistants in the nation to receive the certification in 2012. Steve McCarthy is the new president and CEO of N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation Inc. He most recently was director of advocacy with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Lorraine Yarbrough is the new executive director of Cerebral Palsy of Mideast Wisconsin. She had been the agency's assistant executive director since 2008. Dr. Michelle Schacht joined ThedaCare Physicians-Appleton North as a family physician. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She completed her residency through the UW Health Fox Valley Residency Program. Hurckman Mechanical Industries Inc. promoted Bob Leonowicz to the role of industrial sales. He has been with the company for four years. NSight Teleservices added Tim Bagnieski as sales director. He has more than 20 years of telecom sales experience. The Howard Suamico Business and Professional Association recently named its officers: past president – Sue Van Den Elzen of Thornberry Cottage; president – Jim Van Den Elzen of Zima-Van Den Elzen Insurance; treasurer – Cheryl Perrault of Kerber, Rose & Associates; and secretary – Diane Schmidtke of the Howard Suamico School District.
