B ook your passage and get on board for the Fox Cities Chamber Business Trifecta event on Wednesday, June 12 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton. This will be the second year the Chamber is hosting three events on the same day: The Business Awards Luncheon, the Business Expo and the Business Connection. As an added bonus, Fox World Travel and Apple Vacations are giving away a trip with airfare included, said Susan Vanden Heuvel, 20 | Insight • M a y 2 013 director of events and sponsorships for the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. Last year, the event drew 525 people. The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and recognizes top local businesses in categories including innovation and leadership. Rising Star businesses and Businesses of the Year in several categories also will be recognized. Last year's Businesses of the Year include Plexus, in the Manufacturing category; Faith Technologies, Inc., Service; and Jacobs Meat Market, Inc., Wholesale/Retail. The award sponsors are First National Bank – Fox Valley and Schenck SC. The top three businesses in each category for this year's awards will be announced in early May and then the winners announced at the luncheon. The cost to attend the luncheon is $25 a person, or $275 for a table of 10 (preferred seating). The expo sponsor is Bank First National. Visitors to the expo have a chance to win the vacation. "Attendees will be given a passport and they will have to get it stamped by the exhibitors – this will help traffic go into all three rooms," Vanden Heuvel said. People will need to visit a certain percentage of the exhibits and get passport "stamps" from exhibitors. After people visit all of the rooms and get enough stamps, they can turn in their passport for the trip drawing. For more information about the expo, visit www.foxcitieschamber.com or call (920) 734-7101.
