Some days, it's just a gameā€¦ other days, it's personal. For more than a quarter of a century, golfing on the second Wednesday in August has been very personal to those who come to Northeast Wisconsin for the U.S. Venture Open. The event has consistently drawn hundreds of participants, funding partners and volunteers to acknowledge and celebrate the power of giving back. Since 1986, the event has raised more than $14.4 million for the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs and benefitted from the consistent support of generous donors. While participants enjoy a round of golf and a good time, most recognize that they are drawn to a well-run event for a worthy cause. They know that every dollar they give goes to help people in need. As the host of the U.S. Venture Open, U.S. Venture, Inc. has always paid for the expenses of the event; therefore, every dollar contributed goes directly to the three funds established within the Community Foundations for the Fox Valley, Greater Green Bay and Oshkosh areas. Since 1986, the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs and the Basic Needs Giving Partnership have generated more than $9.5 million in grants to help people in need in Northeast Wisconsin. 1986 ............................................... $ 1987 ............................................... $ 1988 ............................................... $ 1989 ............................................... $ 1990 ............................................... $ 46,645 52,175 63,475 81,943 98,888 1991 ............................................... $ 115,465 1992 ............................................... $ 152,835 1993 ............................................... $ 204,732 1994 ............................................... $ 265,000 1995 ............................................... $ 301,677 1996 ............................................... $ 350,143 1997 ............................................... $ 378,205 1998 ............................................... $ 395,100 1999 ............................................... $ 433,554 2000 ............................................... $ 442,593 2001 ............................................... $ 459,357 2002 ............................................... $ 486,623 2003 ............................................... $ 468,442 2004 ............................................... $ 542,425 2005 ............................................... $ 622,000 2006 ............................................... $ 744,600 2007 ............................................... $ 1,000,000 2008 ............................................... $ 1,253,000 2009 ............................................... $ 1,452,000 2010 ............................................... $ 2,217,000 2011 ............................................... $ 1,785,000 Total ............................................. $ 14,412,877
