According to data from the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, lending grew by 10.7 percent at the state's 156 chartered credit unions during the first three months of 2015 compared with the same period in 2014. Credit unions loaned $20.4 billion in January, February and March, up from $18.5 billion during that same time last year. In addition, net income totaled $68.5 million during the first quarter of 2015, up from $56.3 million during the first three months of 2014.
