PORT OF GREEN BAY REACHES 2014 GOAL, OVER 2M TONS The Port of Green Bay tonnage numbers for November helped the Port surpass its 2013 totals for cargo moving through the port. November tonnage was down, but pushed 2014 totals to two million tons, a rate just higher than last year. December tonnage raised the 2014 total to 2.3 million tons. The total for 2013 was 2.2 million tons. "Although we continued to see decreased shipments of coal and cement, we also saw increases in exports of sand and petroleum products," says Dean Haen, director of Brown County Port and Resource Recovery. "That, along with slight bumps in imports of limestone, liquid asphalt and U.S. salt, helped carry the Port for another successful year." Haen says that any amount greater than 2 million tons is considered a good year for the Port. No Empty Promises. 920-499-8771 | 1450 Velp Ave. | Green Bay, WI 54303 www.hurckman.com Easier...
