"We're very excited about this resource as part of our larger workforce development initiatives in the Fox Cities. our young people represent a pipeline for employers to thrive in the future," says Larry Burkhardt, executive vice president, Fox Cities regional Partnership. e partnership serves outagamie County and the northern part of Winnebago County, but the Connect a Career site will allow education and business partnership opportunities to expand to other Wisconsin communities. Burkhardt says the site enables students to navigate possible career paths and work-based learning opportunities. it also helps them develop workplace competencies. e site is being tested this semester at appleton area high schools, where students can explore opportunities for their futures. "is ongoing feeder system is a key function to helping our workforce development succeed," Burkhardt says.
