ExporTech™–success in exporting for small businesses Techniques that result in successful exporting ExporTech–Proven path to export success ExporTech helps Wisconsin manufacturers fast-track international sales. The program has received rave reviews from participants since its introduction in 2010. Each ExporTech session brings together eight non-competing manufacturers and a range of experts that help participants develop a custom, action-ready export plan by the end of the course in three months. Develop a customized, action-oriented export expansion strategy with ExporTech. Graduates of ExporTech have achieved sales increases averaging $900,000 in 6-9 months after completing the program. The unique three-session format allows manufacturers to share ideas with each other, talk one-on-one with experts in a range of fields, and have their export plans thoroughly reviewed and vetted by a panel of experts and their peers. Special Agriculture-Focused Session Each ExporTech™ session consists of three intense events scheduled one month apart. Coaching and assistance is provided between events. Ten companies have been independently surveyed for results and report an overall total impact of almost $10 million. Prolitec— ExporTech™ graduate and winner of the Governor's Export Achievement Award A 2011 graduate of ExporTech, Prolitec was recognized in a ceremony at the May 2013 World Trade Day conference with the Governor's Export Achievement Award in Milwaukee. Roger Bensinger, executive vice president of business development, said that prior to attending ExportTech in 2011, the company had focused mainly on Canada and Europe. Today, Prolitec is now doing business in 73 countries, with international sales increasing from 23 percent of the company's total sales in 2009 to 64 percent in 2013. Japan is now its largest export market. The company manufactures and installs ambient scenting air treatment systems and just landed the largest account in scenting history – installing 400 stations with pink grapefruit scent at the great mosque in Mecca this year. www.wmep.org
