Join the nationwide effort to promote manufacturing to students, teachers & parents! Manufacturing in Wisconsin: A Bright Future All across Wisconsin, manufacturers are planning open houses, tours and other events to get students into their facilities to see the cool stuff happening in their own back yards and to learn about the great jobs available in manufacturing— October is Manufacturing Month in Wisconsin! A nationwide effort is underway to make Manufacturing Day, October 4th, a day to learn about manufacturing, to improve the public's perception of manufacturing careers and to underscore the value of manufacturing to the US economy, both now and in the future. Host an Open House Two websites are available to help: As a manufacturer, it's your opportunity to: www.wimanufacturingmonth.org ` Tell your company's story ` Dispel outdated myths about manufacturing This site lists your event along with others in Wisconsin provides valuable resources to help you promote your event: ` Inspire a new generation of manufacturers ` Press releases ` Connect with potential customers in your community ` Tips for event promotion ` Visit other manufacturers to initiate business relationships and learn what is being made in your community ` Tour planning guides The core element to Manufacturing Month and Day is promoting every event to the public, community schools, students and teachers. Manufacturing Day producers will promote the open house schedule through general and trade media campaigns. Thousands of people will visit manufacturers and see that American manufacturing is a vibrant career path and that employers need skilled workers.
