FUNDING MODEL » 100% of every donation goes to the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs established at Community Foundations in the region. » 10% of the endowment balance is made available to grant out annually through the efforts of volunteer grant teams working with Community Foundations. » The total grant making match is equal to $1,300,000 from the J. J. Keller Foundation, Oshkosh Corporation, ThedaCare and The Rhoades Foundation. DESIRED OUTCOMES » Families meet their basic needs, build financial resources and become self-sufficient. » Children, youth, and young adults are healthy, safe and ready to succeed in school and life. » Individuals affected by aging and dementia have support that allows them to age with dignity. » Underinsured sustain a higher quality of life by reducing acute and long-term care crises. Since 1986, the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs and the Basic Needs Giving Partnership have generated $18.3 million in grants approved to fight poverty and help people in need.
