EVENT|NEWS MANUFACTURING FIRST EXPO & CONFERENCE SEPT. 26 T he second annual Manufacturing First Expo & Conference will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. The event is designed to give Wisconsin manufacturers a forum to highlight their successes, demonstrate industry advances, announce new developments and network with other manufacturing officials. Last year, more than 400 Wisconsin manufacturers attended the first conference. A partial list of the speakers planned includes Jim Morgan, vice president of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce; Tim Sullivan, former president & CEO of Bucyrus International (now part of Caterpillar); and Mike Buseman, executive vice president of Global Operations at Plexus. The event is presented by First Business Bank in partnership with the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and Insight Publications. Tickets are $50 before Sept. 1, and attendees can register now at www.manufacturingfirst.com. F EXPORTECH KICKS OFF three-session ExporTech class will be held in Appleton on Thursday, Sept. 20, Friday, Oct. 12 and Friday, Nov. 12. Participants will learn how they can dramatically drive growth through exports. Graduates of ExporTech have seen increases in sales average $500,000.
