To that end, the seventh annual InDevelopment conference will offer early insight into some of the region's most important projects, with presentations on the Packers Titletown District as well as developments in the Fox Valley. Hosted by Insight Publications, the event will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. March 23 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton and is designed for commercial and economic development professionals, builders, engineers, real estate professionals and anyone interested in commercial and economic development. e Packers anticipate approvals will come from the Village of Ashwaubenon to begin work on the 34-acre, mixed-use commercial project just west of Lambeau Field sometime in March, says Aaron Popkey, assistant director of public relations for the Packers. e development will create a year-round destination for Green Bay — and of course, spur plenty of opportunities for builders, real estate developers, retailers and others. Representatives of the Packers will share their plans, vision and discuss opportunities for developers in and around the new Titletown District as one of two developer briefings at InDevelopment. Completion of the first phase of the project is expected by the 2017 Packers season. It will include a four-diamond Kohler Co. hotel and spa, 20,000-square-foot Hinterland Brewery brewpub and restaurant and 30,000-square-foot Bellin Health sports medicine facility, as well as portions of a 10-acre public plaza. Subsequent phases of the estimated $120 million to $130 million district include space for other commercial and retail projects and a residential project overlooking the plaza. "Since the announcement of the Titletown District in August we've had several businesses express an interest in the development and looking to find out more," Popkey says. "Several reached out with interest in the residential project." Also presenting at InDevelopment will be Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna, speaking on "Creativity, Changes and Expectations in the New Economy." Hanna will talk about society's expectations for attracting and keeping a creative class of workers. He will discuss walk-ability, reinvigorating waterfront areas and how national trends are playing out within the Fox Valley. Kicking off InDevelopment will be keynote speaker Ross Koepsel, a partner in Commercial Property Associates, Inc., Milwaukee. InDevelopment will conclude with a networking cocktail reception in which attendees will have the chance to talk with speakers, members of the Northeast Wisconsin Economic Regional Partnership and others. 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, Appleton Tickets: $35 To register, go to www.insightonbusiness.com/indevelopment P H O T O C O U R T E S Y G R E E N B AY PA C K E R S
