1:30 - 4:30PM WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Association in collaboration with NEWMA will present a panel including Jan Allman, CEO of Marinette Marine, Kim Bassett, CEO of Bassett Mechanical and Rita Cox, President and CEO of Coating Excellence International that will explore the challenges women leaders face in a male dominated manufacturing industry. Following the panel, a keynote presentation on "How Leaders Sabotage Their Success" will be provided by Initiative One – Institute of Business Leadership. Learn three fundamental influences on behavior; discover what they have to do with success. Identify sabotage patterns that affect a leader's performance and learn how to raise trust in teams by changing your leader behavior. 1:30 - 4:30PM EXPORTING & INTERNATIONAL TRADE Northeast Wisconsin International Business Network (NEWIBN) and Lakeshore International Networking & Knowledge exchange (LINKe) will host a program to focus on global business issues. Legal experts will review various compliance and regulation concerns for exports / imports. NAFTA Regional Focus will be presented through an informative company panel discussion moderated by a representative of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Participants will share real life experiences and address opportunities for Wisconsin manufacturers interested in global expansion. 1:30 - 4:30PM FOOD AND BEVERAGE Baker Tilly will host a seminar focusing on the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Wisconsin and current risks and trends. Joining Baker Tilly will be representatives from Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) and Bassett Mechanical. This seminar will focus on the state of the F&B industry in Wisconsin, Process Safety Management initiatives, and cyber security, including social media risks, product formulation theft, data integrity, pricing and trade promotion espionage, and more. 1:30 - 4:30PM ADVANCING THE LEAN ENTERPRISE: PEOPLE, PROCESS, & STRATEGY Optima Associates will host this program discussing best practices for manufacturers to accelerate their lean journey based on a highly engaged workforce with excellent problem- solving skills, using process excellence to drive business results and lean as a strategy to create competitive advantage. The seminar will include practical tips and tools to help organizations with their improvement strategy and we will end with a panel discussion question and answer session.
