(The city of Green Bay acquired the hotel in 2013 and entered into a land contract with American Hospitality for $2.7 million as a bridge loan. As a result of the purchase from the city in mid-February, the land contract was replaced with a conventional loan.) The 135-unit Hampton Inn is expected to reopen late summer, concurrent with the completion of the 30,000-square-foot addition to the KI Center. Another 6,000 square feet of space is available, connected to the KI and Hampton Inn. Don Schappacher, owner American Hospitality Management, Inc. When the 30,000-square-foot expansion to Green Bay's KI Convention Center is complete by late summer (pictured), the adjacent, fully renovated 135-unit Hampton Inn on the Fox River is also expected to open.
