For the serious golfer, the time it takes to traverse that distance is a test of skill and experience in club selection and shot-making. For the business golfer spending the day out of the office, the time can be critical to cementing a new relationship or rewarding a longtime client. "I don't know that a lot of work gets done, but it is a great opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with a captive audience," says Marilyn heim, special events manager at the green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, who plans the group's annual golf outing each June.
