Consolidated to build AmericInn in Waupun Consolidated Construction Company began building the new Waupun AmericInn hotel in December, which is on 1.43 acres of the Meadowview school redevelopment area near Wisconsin hwy. 151. e three-story hotel will have 61 rooms in 32,200 square feet of space, including a pool area, breakfast and beverage bar. "Waupun's convenient location has always made it a favorite overnight spot for travelers; however, hotel development has not kept up with demand," says Andrew glewen, president of Marshview hospitality LLC and the local developer of the hotel. "ere have been no significant new hotel projects developed between Madison and Fond du Lac in the past 10 years. Waupun and the 151 corridor are more than ready for this project." Lighthouse hospitality group President Don Klain says about 20 hotel staff positions will open. Construction is expected to be completed in June. e hotel will be independently owned by Marshview hospitality and operated by Lighthouse hospitality group of Muskego.
