Collaborative Partner: Northeast Wisconsin Chamber Coalition Broadcasting business Shannon Full Northeast Wisconsin Chamber Coalition gives voice to businesses in the region By S h a n n o n Fu l l , P re s i d e n t a n d CE O, F o x Ci t i e s Ch am be r of Com m e rc e T he Northeast Wisconsin Chamber Coalition is made up of five local chambers of commerce – Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Waupaca — whose leaders gather monthly to develop, monitor and advocate on a joint legislative agenda. This agenda is a pro-jobs policy agenda that includes such issues as tax climate, regulation reform, transportation, workforce development, economic development and incentives. Once developed, the agenda is vetted with not only the five participating chambers, but also with many other local chambers in our region as well as leadership of New North, Inc. Many of the local chambers endorse the agenda and adopt it as their own. That agenda is then shared with our state legislators and the governor, and it is the platform that is used throughout the year as we track bills, lobby on legislation and report to not only our existing business leaders and community stakeholders but also those who work in the business attraction realm throughout the country. The leadership at New North and the Northeast Wisconsin Chamber Coalition have formed a strong partnership that leverages the existing relationships and resources to advance an important legislative agenda. This partnership ensures the very best stewardship and limits duplication of efforts. New North trusts that NEWCC will do the due diligence needed to create an aggressive agenda that will allow this region to compete more successfully in the global marketplace.
