8 2021 Community Report BASIC NEEDS GIVING PARTNERSHIP $ 9,077,365 NEW GRANT COMMITMENTS $ 8,997,874 GRANTS DISTRIBUTED NEW GRANTS Friendship Place COVID Relief: $7,500 To maintain mental health supports that reach 150-200 members from Winnebago County by providing operating support to address COVID- related reductions in revenue. Recipient: Friendship Place, Inc. Bella Medical COVID Relief: $12,500 To support technology upgrades and sustain pregnancy/STD testing, Well Woman Exams, and Parenting Steps programming for 165 clients. Recipient: Bella Medical Clinic Solutions Recovery COVID Relief: $15,000 To sustain programming for the recovery community by providing operating support to address COVID- related reductions in revenue. Recipient: Solutions Recovery, Inc. Crisis Intervention for Families: $50,000 To provide crisis intervention to Oshkosh Area School District children and their families by assisting with transitional and affordable housing; providing basic needs such as food, transportation, clothes, mattresses, furniture and hygiene items; and connecting them with partner agencies. Recipient: Oshkosh Kids Foundation N.E.W. Mental Health Connection COVID Relief: $10,500 To support annual membership dues in order to reduce financial hardship for approximately 25 Winnebago County nonprofits. Recipient: N.E.W. Mental Health Connection Options for Independent Living Emergency Assistance: $8,000 To provide financial assistance to help low-income persons with disabilities in Winnebago and Green Lake Counties that have COVID-related emergencies/crises that prevent them from meeting their basic needs for food, shelter, transportation, medical equipment, and other dire circumstances. Recipient: Options for Independent Living Jake's Network Basic Needs Sourcing Pilot: $25,000 To pilot a program leveraging Jake's Network's role as a Community Redistribution Partner for Good360 to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oshkosh and the Tri-County Area more efficiently source school supplies, clothing, winter gear, hygiene items, household cleaners and more for their member families. Collaborators: Jake's Network of Hope (fka Jake's Diapers), Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh staffing: $53,000 To support staffing costs due to being open for full days at the Club. This also supports students' schooling, after school care at school sites, extra food costs associated with being open full days, and student transportation to the Club when the YMCA's afterschool care programs are at capacity. Recipient: Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh Volunteer Management Program: $2,400 Technology to aid in the implementation of a new volunteer management program to track and document volunteer hours, and assist the Operations Director with scheduling and assigning of tasks. Recipient: Oshkosh Area Community Pantry, Inc. Urgent Outpatient Appointments + Laptops: $10,042 To offer urgent outpatient appointments for youth with suicidal or self-harm ideation and purchase five laptops for therapists to provide telemedicine to Oshkosh clients. Recipient: Catalpa Health Video Conferencing: $5,000 To expand video conferencing capabilities for 18 support groups and weekly sober living program meetings as well as hire a fundraising coach to work with a new part-time Executive Director. Recipient: Solutions Recovery, Inc. Technology to Support Employment: $3,470 To purchase tablets and software subscriptions to provide training and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Community- Based Prevocational Program and the Supported Employment Program. Recipient: Fox River Industries, Inc. Technology for Shelter Residents: $1,000 To support installation and Wi-Fi expenses associated with new laptops for Oshkosh transitional housing shelter residents to use to meet individualized program goals like securing steady employment, attending doctor visits, and completing coursework. Recipient: COTS, Inc. Oshkosh Community YMCA COVID Relief: $85,000 To continue to meet the needs of area families for before/afterschool care, child care, and summer care. Recipient: Oshkosh Community YMCA St. Anne's Clinic - Technology + Security: $5,000 To help upgrade the router, Wi-Fi, and physical door locks to allow for controlled access to St. Anne's Clinic and improved electronic medical record processing. Recipient: Water City Care Mission, Inc. Capacity Building + Teen Support Groups: $5,500 To increase administrative assistant hours to take on development coordinator responsibilities and add a second Teen Support Group in Oshkosh in partnership with Valley Christian School. Recipient: NAMI Oshkosh, Inc. Big Futures Mentoring Program: $74,300 (Year 1 of 3, $224,547 total) To create a new collaborative mentoring and Club participation program in which BBBS will create and support mentoring relationships for current and new Club youth in grades 6-8. Collaborators: Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin Outreach Specialist: $25,740 To support the new Outreach Specialist position to encourage individuals experiencing homelessness to utilize the shelter's year-round services to create and meet personal goals as well as connect with appropriate community resources. Recipient: Day By Day Warming Shelter, Inc. Building Leaders - Hispanic Youth Outreach: $17,400 To partner with Casa Hispana, the Menasha Library, and Menasha Public Schools to engage 40 Hispanic youth in the Building Leaders Program and develop culturally appropriate programming.
