anufacturing isn't just for men. Erin, who was an All Star in 2014,
has taken her enjoyment of working with her hands into a great
career field. More and more women are realizing that they can have a
rewarding career in manufacturing.

s an automation specialist, Long Xiong, 2014 All Star,
finds one of the things he enjoys most about his job
is working with robots; they're kind of like a giant toy
for adults. Manufacturing is utilizing cutting-edge
technology, which requires a more skilled workforce.
Long gets to work with robots by having an associate
degree in electro-mechanical technology.

ustin and Kevin Van Den Eng from
CMD Corp. are a father and son
who work for the same company. Kevin
recommended to his son: "Pursue a career
you will enjoy, and you won't have to
work a day in your life." Austin followed
in his father's footsteps because he knew
manufacturing occupations offer good pay
and career advancement opportunities.
