Dubbed Manufacturing Madness, companies vied in a
statewide bracket-style competition. Oshkosh Defense's Joint
Light Tactical Vehicle, which is used in military operations
around the world, overcame stiff competition from three other
Northeast Wisconsin manufacturers in the final-four round of
balloting, announced Oct. 16.
e Coolest ing Made in Wisconsin contest is run by
Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and sponsored by
Johnson Financial Group. Nearly 150 Wisconsin-made
products were nominated for the second annual contest.
A popular vote pared down that list to the top 16 in early
September. Final-four balloting took place Oct. 10 to 16, and
more than 200,000 votes were cast.
Joining Oshkosh Corp. in the final four were: Generac's XC
Generator, Mercury Marine's Joystick Piloting System, and
Ariens Co.'s Sno-ro.
