Talent is human, it is people and it is not a popularity contest, or at least it shouldn't be, but rather a demonstration of your competence, aptitude, skill or expertise. It's how we are perceived by the C-Suite and valued business partners for delivering results in our area of discipline and beyond. is requires a deep business acumen, especially for the specific business we support, combined with a strong set of consultative skills. e combination allows our profession and those who practice it to tangibly demonstrate that HR's Got Talent. How do we ensure that we are staying on top of our game individually? ere is no one tactic. Learning can come from unexpected places. An option is obtaining or staying current with your SHRM certification or other certifications.
