Dear Friends,
Welcome to the campus of the University of Wisconsin–
Green Bay! We're delighted to have you with us on our
beautiful campus and in one of the great performing
arts venues in the upper United States, The Edward W.
Weidner Center for the Performing Arts!
The Weidner Center was built, in large part, with private
funds from people in Northeast Wisconsin and we
continue to honor our proud past by recognizing our
obligation to provide programming of interest to our
community. Of course, our University uses the Weidner
Center in a number of academic pursuits, which is a
distinguishing feature that is uniquely ours. Our vision
is that students from all over the State of Wisconsin
have the opportunity to perform on the Weidner stage
as part of a high school band competition, a singing
recital, or as a cast member of a University-produced
show. Bravo indeed!
While you're at the Weidner Center, we invite you to
stroll across our campus and take in the vitality you'll find
here. Our students buzz with the excitement of learning,
and our dedicated professors can be found at all hours
of the day and night, engaging with their students in this
grand adventure known as higher education.
Have a good time while you're with us on our campus
and be sure to let me know if I can answer any
questions you may have about the Weidner Center
or the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. We're glad
you're here, and we want to help make your visit to this
campus as enjoyable and productive as it can be.
