Welcome to the 2012 Basic Needs Giving Partnership Community Report Since 1986, the U.S. Venture Open has raised more than $14.4 million for the U.S. Venture Open Fund for Basic Needs endowment. In those 27 years, more than $9 million was invested in basic needs grantmaking. The Basic Needs Giving Partnership has been at work in Northeast Wisconsin since 2007 when the J. J. Keller Foundation announced its intention to match the annual grantmaking budget of the U.S. Venture Open Fund for Basic Needs endowment, adding nearly $4 million in additional funds for grantmaking and committing another $1.6 million through 2014. In partnership with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, the Basic Needs Giving Partnership makes grants to charitable organizations that are working in collaboration to address the root causes of poverty. Read on to learn more about how this important effort is working to support people from the ground up in Northeast Wisconsin.
