Regional Grants In 2010, the three participating Community Foundations began working together to encourage charitable organizations with a focus to develop regional-wide solutions to critical community problems. The following three programs will leverage skills and resources across all of Northeast Wisconsin. Fox Cities Community Health Center, Inc.: $6,013 to research and develop a curriculum for juvenile sex offenders. This is year 1 of a 2-year grant totaling $12,025. Clarity Care, Red Cross, ADRC Winnebago, ADRC Outagamie, Volunteer Center East Central Wis., Volunteer Center Brown County, Fox Valley Lutheran Homes: $8,333 to plan a regional initiative to prevent isolation among low-income elders. Fox Cities Community Health Center, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs, Reach Counseling Services, Sexual Assault Crisis Center of the Fox Cities: $3,237.50 to support the Tri-County Consortium for the treatment of juvenile sex offenders. This is year 1 of a 2-year grant totaling $6,475. Total: $17,583.50 Event Grants Following the 2011 U.S. Venture Open, two grants were made to acknowledge the generosity of our celebrity guests. AIM for the Handicapped, Inc.: $63,000 to support movement education and exercise for people with various disabilities. For nearly 30 years, Nancy Lopez has served as a spokesperson and advocate for this important work. LIVESTRONG Foundation, Inc.: $15,000 to support the charitable work of Lance Armstrong and this foundation, which since 1997 has been working to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
