Furniture for office, school and government offices. What do you do there? I install and program automated systems. Troubleshooting robotic and automated systems is a large part of the job. What are the most interesting things about your job? The variety of work that comes across my desk. One week I can be programming and editing a robot, and the next I can be retrofitting in a new robot or building an entirely new system. How did you decide on this career path? This career really found me. After the military I started going to college for solar engineering where I discovered the electromechanical program. KI is on the leading edge of technology, including assembly, plastic injection molding, electro-nickel plating, powdercoat paint, automated machinery and metal fabrication. What kind of education and training do you have? Sargento works with natural cheese that we shred, slice and cube. We also make frozen appetizers and cheese-based snacks. What are your job duties? Daily, I'm responsible for running and troubleshooting high-speed packaging equipment, package quality, coaching employees on my lines and ensuring workplace safety. I am also the second shift back up supervisor. What are the most rewarding things about your job? I never know what is going to happen day-to-day, and I think that's interesting. I've been running lines for six years and I still see problems that I have never had before. I enjoy training and coaching employees. It makes me feel a sense of accomplishment to see an employee improve on the task they are doing.
