WAUPAC A FOUNDRY EARNS QUALIT Y, SUPPLIER AWARDS Hitachi Metals America accepted Honda Motor Company's 2015 Excellence in Quality Award for products made at its Waupaca Foundry plants. The award acknowledges suppliers who meet Honda's philosophy of consistently exceeding expectations and is given annually to suppliers who reach the top of their commodity classification as measured by Honda's quality and warranty performance index. Jacobs Vehicle Systems also selected Waupaca Foundry as the 2015 Supplier of the Year. Waupaca Foundry plants in Waupaca and Marinette were cited for achieving high standards in product delivery, quality, engineering collaboration and pricing. The foundry produces ductile iron and gray iron engine braking components for Jacobs Vehicle Systems and has been its castings supplier for 35 years. PIEPER ELECTRIC MERGES WITH GREEN BAY'S HITECH Green Bay-based HiTech, with offices in Neenah, Milwaukee and Cincinnati, announced a merger with New Berlin- based Pieper Electric, Inc. HiTech will operate as a standalone branch of Pieper and will retain the HiTech name and brand. It will continue to be run by the same management team and remain headquartered in Green Bay. Pieper is one of Wisconsin's largest electrical and automation contractors, with 800 employees working in seven locations in the state. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
