Picture the Future
of Manufacturing
NEWMA takes pride in connecting our members with regional
schools. More machining, welding, and engineering degrees are
available. A manufacturing career is now seen as high-tech, high
growth, and high pay. Skilled people are seeking out Northeast
Wisconsin as a destination. This evolution, a vision of the
Alliance, is focused on our area's youth.

2016
All Stars is an annual awards
program that celebrates the
talented manufacturing workforce
in the region. Outstanding
employees are spotlighted in a
careers magazine—each year,
20,000 copies are distributed to
schools, job centers, students,
and parents. The magazine's
online version has videos of the
winners talking about why they
love their careers and employers.
Leadership Academy is a three-month program
designed to develop the leadership skills of
front line production employees and potential
team leaders. The Alliance's next incumbent
training program will upskill machinists in
troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude skills.
The strategy of NEW Manufacturing Alliance of
growing the talent pool and pointing the pipeline
of young people toward those careers that are
booming is really simplistically brilliant.
