CONNECTIONS BY MARGARET LEBRUN Business 'trifecta' Fox Cities Chamber rolls awards luncheon, expo, networking into one day at Radisson Paper Valley luncheons. Each still plans these: The Fox Cities Chamber hosts its annual awards luncheon on Wednesday, June 6 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton; and the Green Bay Chamber hosts its business recognition luncheon on Thursday, June 7 at the Hyatt on Main in Green Bay. For the first time, however, the E arly June is the traditional time for the Chambers of Commerce in both the Fox Cities and Green Bay to host annual awards "We have the ability to celebrate our business successes with the awards luncheon, to visit local businesses at the expo and then network with all of our friends and colleagues at the business connection later. I love the idea of the trifecta." — Shannon Full, Fox Cities Chamber president Fox Cities Chamber will host three events on the same day, combining its annual business expo and a business aſter-hours networking session at the same location and billing the day as a "business trifecta." "We've got the best of all three under one roof," says Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Shannon Full. "We have the ability to celebrate our business successes with the awards luncheon, to visit local businesses at the expo and then network with all of our friends and colleagues at the business connection later. I love the idea of the trifecta." The event begins with registration through 1 p.m. Advance registration is strongly encouraged; the event typically draws about 500 and oſten sells out. Tickets are $20 for members, $30 for prospective members and $325 for tables of 10. Business of the Year awards and THURSDAY, JUNE 7 Green Bay Chamber Annual Business Recognition Luncheon at and networking for the awards luncheon at 11 a.m. Lunch is served at 11:30 and the awards program runs www. insightonbusiness.com Rising Star awards will be announced in service, wholesale/retail and manufacturing categories. Three new categories have been added: Corporate Citizen/Leadership; Company Innovation; and Exemplary Marketing and/or Performance awards. The annual Fox Cities Business Expo (which was traditionally held in the fall) will begin immediately following the awards luncheon. THURSDAY, JUNE 7 Small Business Success: Best Practices, a new series launched by The Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College, will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at FVTC's D.J.
