We spent the rest of the trip experiencing many similar victories. A day in Turtle Pond proved to be a northern bonanza. A different journey into Moose Bay produced walleyes and more jumbo perch. While casting for muskies off a bay with the camp dock in view, I hooked a 26" walleye on a crank bait. en on our final aernoon, we finished with an unforgettable stop at our "Eagle Island". e fish gave us a hearty send-off as we ended our time at Pine Sunset. We closed out that day with an unbelievable walleye bite. en to top it off, the crappies turned on to conclude the remaining minutes of daylight in dramatic fashion. What a way to end a truly memorable week. During this year's All Canada Show, I urge you to talk with Sharon and Mitch Gusick, owners of Pine Sunset Lodge if you are looking for an easy to travel to location… a destination with excellent fishing opportunities. eir resort is located just Southeast of Dryden on Dinorwic Lake. It is considered by many to be one of the top combination walleye and muskie waters in North America. e promotional literature I researched claimed that the Dinorwic/Wabigoon waters can produce 12-pound walleye, over 50" muskies, an abundance of 30- 40" northern , 6-pound smallies, crappie, yellow perch and even lake trout can be found in nearby lakes. So I encourage you to challenge Sharon and Mitch with your questions. During our trip I saw firsthand that Sharon regularly spends many hours on the water scouting for fish. She knows her stuff. She then passes that information along to her guests. Ask your questions about why Pine Sunset Lodge is the right destination for your quality fishing experience.
