Anton "Tony" Nelessen is one of the nation's most respected urban visionaries. He combines professional experience with academic research and insight as a professional planner, urban designer, community partici- pation facilitator, university professor and author.
Nelessen has been the visionary, planning and urban design consultant on numerous Smart Growth projects and urban revitalization plans for cities as diverse as Oshkosh, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Austin, Santa Fe and Saint Paul and has also consulted on projects in Belgium, South Africa and the Netherlands.
