I also teach others how to use the different technology we have. What's most interesting about your job? Technology whether it is hardware or software is always changing and I am constantly learning new things. What kind of training prepared you with the necessary skills? I acquired my degree from Marquette University in engineering. At Marquette, I took a lot of classes in math and science. The biggest thing I learned becoming an engineer was how to think and solve problems. Along with my engineering classes, I also took a number of business classes which help in understanding how businesses run. markets in countries that rely on their service and technology. The Green Bay-based company started more than 70 years ago as a tool and die manufacturer, but today manufactures, assembles, installs and services machines and components for the digital printing, commercial printing, converting and packaging industries. In the last five years, EMT W International has quadrupled sales, grown jobs by over 60 percent, introduced a new corporate logo and moved into a new location in Hobart. Company leaders credit the growth to innovation and a commitment to creating customized products. "Our technology and products are on the cutting edge of the digital printing industry," says Renee Rauscher, marketing coordinator. Digital printing products and finishing products are designed from the ground up specifically to suit customers' needs. EMT has in-house engineers to design and an experienced workforce to build the products. The company also invested in hiring and training more customer service technicians who are able to work with customers on site — often making service calls around the world. With their growth, EMT underscores the company's employment opportunities including mechanical and electrical assembly; manufacturing and electrical engineers; production planners and procurement specialists; machinists and technicians; and IT specialists. "This isn't your grandparents' idea of manufacturing," says Rauscher. "Today's manufacturing is modern, innovative, and technologically advanced."
