How to Treat Everyone Equally Dale Carnegie Training ® The Coach's Corner Quick Success Tips from the Carnegie Coach Treating everyone equally is important to keeping company loyalty and morale high at your company. Here are some tips to becoming a fair leader. 1. Look at the situation from all angles. To get to the bottom of any problem, one must see all angles of what needs to be fixed. Ask your employees questions to get a better understanding of what needs to be changed. Look at the situation through your employees' point of view to determine the best solution to their concerns. 2. Create a feedback form. By asking for your employee's feedback, you will be able to pull together their thoughts and what needs to be changed. It is a good idea to make this form anonymous to get a good read on their real thoughts. 3. Have an employee meeting. Be sure that everyone attends this meeting to ensure all new decisions and ideas will be understood and known to everyone. Some ideas could be perhaps providing some breakfast foods as a special treat to everyone occasionally or having everyone look over together company rules and responsibilities. Be sure to recap the meeting in writing and give copies to all your employees. 4. Obtain continued feedback about your company progress in employee equality. Let your team know you appreciate their feedback and everything they have to share, whether it is positive or negative. Maintain an open door policy where your team can stop by your office at any time to share their feedback.
