Fincantieri Marine Group, the Italian owner of Marinette Marine, named Duane Roehm, a vice president at Marinette Marine, as interim CEO. OSHKOSH DEFENSE LEADER LEAVES R. Andrew Hove has left his role as Oshkosh Corporation vice president and president of the Defense segment. In a statement, the company said Hove was leaving to pursue other business opportunities. The Defense segment will be led directly by Charlie Szews, Oshkosh Corporation president and chief executive officer, until a successor is named following an executive search. Oshkosh is the leading supplier of tactical wheeled vehicles for the U.S. military. MARINETTE ASSEMBLER ADDS JOBS Quality Assembly & Logistics LLC (QAL) is expanding its Marinette operations. QAL recently purchased Otto Bock’s CPM manufacturing and service division in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. The company created a new division called QAL Medical LLC that will manufacture CPMs and refurbish and repair existing CPMs. QAL president and owner Guy Meyerhofer says the purchase will add approximately 15 new positions at the Marinette facility. CPMs are electro-mechanical medical devices, which moves a joint through a prescribed range of motion for an extended period of time. CPMs are especially used immediately after joint surgery. QAL specializes in complex electro-mechanical assembly. They manufacture, repair and refurbish portable x-ray machines, MRI patient tables and other equipment. F CONVERTERS EXPO 2012 PLANNED Partnership and its joint venture partner, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Export Development. The three program dates are Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15. Ten non-competitive T E T businesses are chosen for the program and share three one-day sessions together. Each participating company is also paired with a mentor/coach, who will work one-on-one with them. C-level participants will learn how exports can dramatically drive growth, identify hurdles to expansion, and develop a customized international growth plan.
