Lambeau Field, Green Bay A two-phase, four-year project continues at the historic home of the green Bay Packers. Miron Construction Co., Inc. of neenah will have renovated more than 364,000 square feet of Lambeau Field by the time the work is complete. Phase one, including updates to both end zones at a cost of $145 million, opened to fans in the fall. Currently, players facilities are being remodeled as part of phase two, along with strength and conditioning, dining, and It areas in the lower level. e atrium is getting a faceli, and will be home to a new Packers Pro shop and hall of Fame. e cost for this portion is about $166 million, and is scheduled for completion by June 2015. And with a new 12-foot canal to harness power from the water dug out underneath it, e Boldt Company of Appleton's work means an increase of hydroelectric power by up to 25 percent for Kaukauna Utilities customers. e year-long, $38 million effort included retiring, then demolishing a plant on site since 1908, and reusing the material to build a new, high-efficiency plant in its place. Another plant in use since 1927 is being rebuilt. e cost will be covered by rate payers, with an increase of $5 on monthly bills.
