E X P e r t S w I T h P A S s i O n Bubolz owns and operates his own successful business, Gordy Bubolz Wakeboard Camps, but continues to work with Fort Fremont Marine in their pro-shop. Bubolz is also one of the instructors available to you during the summer in a collaborative effort called Wakeboard Wednesdays. This relationship started when Bubolz was still competing and continues because like him the owners of Fort Fremont Marine grew up on the Wolf River. For Jeff, Dan, and Greg Thomson, the business has been part of their lives for nearly 40 years! Boating and water sports are a lifestyle they all participate in. Consider this for a moment. Jeff Thomson is the general manager. Recently he and Bubolz were in Florida test-riding the wakeboards and skis of the manufacturers they sell in their pro-shop! Thomson pointed out that, "Demo Days" and "Wakeboard Wednesdays" (see side bars for details on both events) are an extension of their philosophy in regard to the buying decision. "If it takes a test-ride for me to attain a certain comfort level with a decision," says Thomson, "I think it is reasonable to assume that applies to our customers as well."
