"Receiving this award is important because it not only recognizes the state-of-the-art processes and machinery at our manufacturing facilities, but also acknowledges the knowledge, innovation and hard work of everyone at mercury marine," says mark schwabero, president of mercury marine. "We are proud to be recognized for manufacturing the finest marine engines possible." in 2013, mercury received its third consecutive Wisconsin Green master rating in recognition of its sustainability practices in Wisconsin and globally. mercury also partners with the U.s. army partnership for Youth success program that connects soldiers with companies such as mercury marine to ensure veterans will have career opportunities once they have completed their active duty. For these efforts, mercury marine was awarded employer-excellence recognition by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans affairs in august 2013. mercury marine was featured in the July 2013 issue of Insight magazine with president mark schwabero on the cover.
