Manufacturing First Expo & Conference held Oct. 31 in Green Bay 1 P h o t o g r a p h s b y F i r s t B u s i n e s s B a n k , M a r g a r e t L e B r u n a n d N i k k i K a ll i o O n Oct. 31, the Manufacturing First Expo & Conference held at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay drew about 800 registered attendees, including 134 exhibitors and about 200 area student visitors. The event included keynote presentations by Rogerio Rizzi, principal from Monitor Deloitte Chicago and Mike Weller, president of Miller Electric Mfg. Co. The day also included booth talks on accounting, health care reform, sustainability and exporting, as well as breakout sessions on the skills shortage, strategy and talent, tax incentives, corporate culture and social media. Area students and teachers visited exhibitor booths armed with questions about manufacturing careers. Participating schools were Algoma High School, GPS Education Partners, Green Bay Preble High School, Green Bay West High School, Kaukauna High School and Little Chute High School.
