Menasha received three gold, seven silver and eight bronze awards in nine categories, including Convenience Store Retailer, Drug Store Retailer, Grocery and General Merchandise Products, Hair and Skin Care, Health Care, Home and Garden Mass Merchandise Retailer, Services and Transportation, Snack Products and Soft Drinks, and Supermarket Retailer. In a field of more than 60 competitors and more than 450 entries, only one firm (Rapid Displays of Chicago) earned more awards than Menasha. "An OMA Award is among the highest recognition in marketing at-retail, and we are honored to be recognized," says Dennis Bonn, vice president of marketing for Menasha Packaging. "Our team continues to work hard creating innovative and effective in-store and at-retail displays for our consumer packaged goods (CPG) customers." Menasha Packaging also recently won the 2012 Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award presented by the Wisconsin Safety Council and the state Department of Workforce Development. The award was presented during the 71st Annual Wisconsin Safety and Health Conference on April 23 in Wisconsin Dells. Seventeen other companies were presented with a 2012 Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award, selected from 90 finalists and hundreds of applicants. Other New North winners were: Agropur, Inc. of Little Chute; Energis High Voltage Resources, Inc. of Green Bay; Georgia Pacific, Green Bay Broadway Mill; Leicht Transfer & Storage, LLC of Green Bay; the Boldt Company of Appleton; Tweet/Garot Mechanical of Green Bay and WPS – Pulliam Plant, Green Bay.
