F a l l 2 0 2 0 • forwardHR | 21 2020 WISHRM STATE COUNCIL UPDATES Enterprising Leadership Grants applications now open e WISHRM Enterprising Leadership Grant was established in 2008. is grant awards a chapter or chapters a grant to support a "partnership" with another Wisconsin- based organization that promotes communication and collaboration between HR and other business professionals/ organizations across the state. e grant funds innovative initiatives that strive to bring business professionals together toward a common cause, led by the HR community. Up to $6,000 is available for WISHRM Chapters to implement an activity or initiative in the area of Enterprising HR Leadership. Criteria include having 1) a partnership with an organization outside SHRM that has goals/objectives that help advance the HR profession and 2) a joint planned activity or initiative with that organization that demonstrates Enterprising HR Leadership Communication, Collaboration and/or Education of/between business professionals. e Enterprising Leadership Grant Application can be found on www.wishrm.org. WISHRM Council Partnership Program e Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest human resource management association. e Wisconsin SHRM State Council represents 19 chapters along with national SHRM at-large membership totaling more than 6,000 HR professionals across the state. e council is involved in a variety of leadership and support roles within the human resource management profession. A partnership or sponsorship opportunity with the council creates visibility for your organization and financially supports our efforts to provide up-to-date industry information and education to our members and to serve as a unified voice for human resource professionals. e Wisconsin SHRM State Council offers partnership opportunities limited to 10 organizations on an annual basis in a variety of human resources educational verticals. Your annual partnership fees include: • Half-page black and white ad in the Wisconsin State Conference program • Logo displayed on home page of the council website for one year. Logo will be linked to company website. • Logo will rotate with other partners • Partner will provide an educational article for forwardHR, the official publication of the Wisconsin SHRM State Council, mailed biannually to 6,000 SHRM members and other influencers throughout the state • Partner will provide the WISHRM State Council with monthly educational updates to be posted on the council website and in council communications to its 3,800-member database Many sponsorship opportunities are also available with the Wisconsin SHRM State Council. Save the date and join your SHRM colleagues from around the state at our 7th Annual WISHRM Day on the Hill event on ursday, Feb.18, 2021. Due to the pandemic, this year's Day on the Hill will look different from previous years. Watch the WISHRM website www.wishrm.org/2021-Day-on-the-Hill-Save-the-Date for updates on speakers and topics and how you can access the presentations. is year's event will include an employment law update presented by employment relations attorney Bob Gregg, discussion on how to prepare for advocacy meetings with elected officials (or their staff members), an update from National SHRM Government Affairs and several educational presentations. Sessions will be submitted for preapproval of SHRM recertification credits. Day on the Hill also provides a great opportunity for you to advocate on behalf of SHRM and the HR profession, to learn more about the political process, and to have a real impact on the public policy debate in Wisconsin involving critical HR and business issues.
