Vollrath will establish a new facility
in Newport, Minn. At more than 70,000
square feet, the building will be the 11th

AWARDS SET FOR FEB. 20
The Manufacturer of the Year awards
are slated for Feb. 20 at the Pfister Hotel
in Milwaukee.
The program celebrates the successes of
manufacturers in Wisconsin and honors
innovations, philanthropy, technological
advances, commitment to customer
satisfaction and creation of quality jobs.
Winners will be revealed and nominees
honored at the 32nd annual Manufacturer
of the Year awards ceremony.
Seven manufacturers from the
New North are among 25 in the state
nominated for awards. Regional nominees
include: Fox Valley Wood Products, Inc.,
Kaukauna; MCL Industries Inc., Pulaski;
Nueske's Applewood Smoked Meats,
Wittenberg; Orion Energy Systems Inc.,
Manitowoc; Outlook Group, Neenah;
Professional Plating, Brillion; and
Sargento Foods, Plymouth.
Manufacturing contributes $63 billion
to the state's economy — nearly 20 percent
of the state's gross domestic product
— and employs one in six Wisconsin
workers — roughly 475,000 people.
