Albrecht, who eats a gluten-free diet, keyed in right away on the chicken tortilla soup. "I'll admit I come here quite frequently for lunch, whether I'm meeting someone or if I just want to get out of the office for a while," she says. e tortilla soup, Osorio's signature soup, includes chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, tortilla strips, lime and a slow-simmered broth. e soup costs $4 for a cup and $8 for a bowl. A bowl of the soup can easily fill you up. Osorio's offers an express lunch menu featuring not only the tortilla soup, but also other favorites including grilled fish tacos ($10), Osorio's Cuban Sandwich ($9), fajita sandwich ($10), quesadilla ensalada ($8) and sopes ($8), which are crispy masa dough shells stuffed with refried black beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and a choice of meat. All of Osorio's food is prepared from scratch, and it either comes from family recipes or is created by employees right there in the kitchen. e entrees blend Latin cuisine and flavors with staff members' other favorite foods. In addition to the express lunch menu, lunch visitors can order off the regular menu, which clearly marks the gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. "ere are several gluten-free options on the menu, so I enjoy that variety," Albrecht says. "I also love the environment — it's so vibrant, liing your spirits." — MaryBeth Matzek
