26 | forwardHR • F a l l 2 0 19 2019 WISHRM STATE COUNCIL UPDATES WISHRM Council Partnership Program WISHRM State Council Enterprising Leadership Grant Application 2019 e WISHRM Enterprising Leadership Grant was established in 2008. is grant awards a chapter or chapters a grant to support a "partnership" with another Wisconsin-based organization that promotes communication and collaboration between HR and other business professionals/organizations across the state.e grant funds initiatives that are innovative and strive to bring business professionals together toward a common cause, led by the HR community. Up to $6,000 is available for Wisconsin SHRM Chapters to implement an activity or initiative in the area of Enterprising HR Leadership. Criteria include having 1) a partnership with an organization outside the SHRM that has goals/objectives that help advance the HR profession and 2) a joint planned activity or initiative with that organization that demonstrates Enterprising HR Leadership Communication, Collaboration and/or Education of/between business professionals. e Enterprising Leadership Grant Application can be found on the WISHRM website www.wishrm.org. Completed applications and supporting documents must be returned to John Komosa, WISHRM State Director, at asomokj@yahoo.com by Nov. 8. e Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest human resource management association. e Wisconsin SHRM State Council represents 19 chapters along with national SHRM at-large membership totaling more than 6,000 HR professionals across the state. e council is involved in a variety of leadership and support roles within the human resource management profession. A partnership or sponsorship opportunity with the council creates visibility for your organization and financially supports our efforts to provide up-to-date industry information and education to our members and to serve as a unified voice for human resource professionals. e Wisconsin SHRM State Council offers partnership opportunities limited to 10 organizations on an annual basis in a variety of human resources educational verticals.
