Are there any negative perceptions about manufacturing careers that you would like to change? There is a perception that manufacturing jobs aren't "fun." I feel our Heartland family leads the way in making work fun. We promote camaraderie through shift cookouts, bean-bag tosses and more. Do you have a mentor? There are two people, Brandon Buchholz and Nate Vosters, who saw potential in my abilities and offered to have one-on-one coaching and development sessions. Do you believe that your job is an exciting and engaging profession? Every day I get to be involved in learning about and developing new products and strategies. Having a company that wants to help educate their employees keeps me engaged. How does your company promote teamwork, and what is your role in a team within your company or your department? An assembly line would never progress efficiently without teamwork. All parties need to be aligned and on an equal page with the same goal in mind. My role is to continually develop all team members, ensure all contribute positively and all are on the correct path toward success.
