By the Numbers The Pricewaterhouse Coopers Industrial Products practice found Quarter 3 merger and acquisition activity in the global industrial products industry remained suppressed because of overall uncertainty about the global economy. The Q3 M&A analysis examined 2012 activity in six sectors: aerospace and defense, chemicals, engineering and construction, industrial manufacturing, metals and transportation and logistics. The IP industry as a whole saw 164 transactions of $50 million or greater, compared with 197 such deals in 2011.
