FINAL FRAME P h oto g r a p h B Y RO B R E S N I C K / I m a g e S t u d i o s Sun incentives As they say, its 5 oclock somewhere. Maybe its summer there, too. Maybe you can go there. Maybe your company will even send you. Some New North companies have planned seasonal group travel incentive programs to places with lots of sun, sand and fun. Incentives are all about providing the traveler with an experience they could not have gotten on their own, said Crystal Zawilinski, manager of program operations for Fox Premier Meetings and Incentives, a division of Fox World Travel, in an email message. Many incentives are awarded through sales goals for either the employee or customer, but many clients also incorporate business retention and new business acquisition components into these programs. Groups booking trips through Fox range from small (10) to large (600) but the agency can handle groups into the thousands, Zawilinski said. Since the economic downturn, there has been a general revival in group incentive travel. Businesses realize these trips continue to stimulate sales and reward hard work, making them more profitable, Zawilinski said. Favorite destinations include Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as cruise trips. As the economy continues to rebound, we have also seen a resurgence in the desire to travel to Europe, she said. If a company wanted to go to Bora Bora (pictured), Fox could make that happen, too.
