Hoffman of Hoffman LLC is a fourth-generation business owner and supporter of multiple non-profit organizations; Keller of J.J. Keller & Associates in Neenah helped grow the company���s client list to more than 300,000 businesses worldwide; and Seifert, the owner of Katapult LLC and New North Inc. co-chair, is a retired executive with Kimberly-Clark Corp. and serves on several company boards including Revlon, Eli Lilly & Co., Lexmark, Supervalu and Appleton (Papers). The chamber also handed out the following awards at The Event Celebrating Business: young professional of the year ��� Kip Golden of Miron Construction; ambassador of the year ��� Joanne Fischer of Telecom Insites; champion of the chamber ��� Debra Michiels of Fox Banquets Rivertyme Catering; the exceptional mentor award ��� Beth Davis of Community First Credit Union; entrepreneur of the year ��� Rollie Stephenson of Faith Technologies; the Gus A. Zuehlke Distinguished Service Award ��� Oscar Boldt of The Boldt Company; and Athena Business Woman of the Year Award ��� Monica Vomastic of Landmark Staffing Resources. Mark Burstein, executive vice president of Princeton University, will become Lawrence University���s 16th president next July. Burstein replaces Jill Beck, who is retiring June 30 after nine years as the college���s president. Burstein brings a strong Ivy League connection along with an extensive background in higher education leadership, government 46 | Insight ��� J a n u a r y 2 013 service, investment banking and consulting to Lawrence. Named executive vice president at Princeton in 2004, Burstein led efforts to enhance campus life and modernize the university���s operations and infrastructure. His responsibilities include overseeing a $200 million budget and a staff of 1,800 in the areas of student life, public safety, university audit and compliance, human resources and facilities. Before joining Princeton, Burstein worked at Columbia University for 10 years and worked for New York City���s sanitation department where he helped start that city���s recycling program. The Bank of Kaukauna recently hired John Hendrickson as vice president of commercial banking and Gina Nytes as assistant vice president-consumer banking. The bank also promoted Dean Bodway to assistant vice president-mortgage lending. Kelly Jelinek of Acuity in Sheboygan recently earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the insurance industry���s highest professional certification. Dean Foate, president and CEO of the Plexus Corp. in Neenah, will become board chairman following the company���s annual meeting next month. He will replace John L. Nussbaum, who helped found the company and has been board chair since retiring as CEO in 2002. Foate has been with Plexus since 1992 and became president and CEO in 2002. The company���s board of directors also modified its leadership structure to add the position of lead director, which will be filled by Michael V. Schrock, president and chief operating officer of Pentair Ltd. Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company in Neenah promoted Carol Sanders to executive vice president and chief operating officer. She has been with Jewelers since 2004 and most recently served as the company���s senior vice president, chief financial officer and corporate treasurer. Dr. Nate Hayes with Ministry North Shore Medical Clinic is moving his practice from Sturgeon Bay to Algoma. Integrity Insurance added Mark Fowler as commercial lines underwriting manager. Tim O���Donnell joined Imaginasium in Green Bay as a senior writer. He most recently wrote for Mercury Insurance, Rancho Vista Ministry and Popeye���s, in addition to previous work with Disney, Ford and Nokia. Terry Hoover was named director of Wipfli���s new business valuation, litigation and transaction support service practice in the Fox Cities. He has more than 27 years of experience in deal initiation and intermediary services, transaction structure, transaction negotiation and finance sourcing. Nick Spude and Chad Miller of Choice Bank recently completed the Wisconsin Bankers Association���s introduction to commercial lending school. David Szczupak, executive vice president of global product organization at Whirlpool Corp., was elected to the Bemis Co. Inc. board of directors.
